About Us

This foundation was created to honor the life of Matthew James Fergus.   Our team is made up of family & friends volunteering their time and efforts to organize fun events to enjoy together. We pride ourselves in doing what we can to help make a difference in someone's life as Matthew did.  In the past few years, we have been able to raise over $24,000 thanks to the generosity of many.  This money has been provided to students requiring financial assistance so they can participate in the hockey program at St. Viator High School, located in Arlington Heights, IL.  

Matt Fergus was a St. Viator Hockey student who graduated in 2000. He had a love of hockey and passion for life. Matt has always enjoyed pick-up games, organized sports or any event where he felt he could show his strength, athletic abilities and charm. However, it was not only about the competition. Matt was a man of discipline and character. He was about finding a connection with the people he met on and off the ice and making everyone feel included.
